Derek - Satellite Beach Soccer

Big game tonight against Satellite High, with the Wildcats being the visiting team. This was big because the majority of Danny's 'Club' team play for Satellite High, so there are lots of familiar faces out there!

Unfortunately the Wildcats came up just a little short, loosing in the last seconds by a score of 2-1. Satellite High is supposed to be one of the better teams though, so for us to keep it this close is a win in itself.

Also, Danny scored his second goal of the season early, giving the Wildcats a 1-0 lead until late in the game.

Here is what the coach had to say about the game...

"Even though the score was not in our favor, I believe you guys won, you all won the applause of the public (your parents and friends) who were watching the game, you guys won the people's sympathy and their cheers."

Danny's team played against a tough Titusville team this evening in Titusville. They play on the Football field so it's a pretty big stadium, our first game in a stadium like that. The West Shore Wildcats prevailed 2-1 on a winning goal by our own Danny Dolnik! Way to go Danny!

Danny took the field at West Shore High School tonight for his first game, a scrimmage against the JV Girls team. The boys won easily.

Danny's soccer team won first place in the Brevard County Fall Challenge Tournament this weekend. The had to play 4 games over 2 days to win.

Danny has had 2 practices now for Fall Ball. He's on the Detroit Tigers Little League Team.

Derek's team won their first game today at home against Indian River. Derek did good, playing several different positions during the game.

Dad, Danny, Roger and I went to the Rays vs. Yankees game tonight in Tampa. Rays lost, but it was a good game. Got especially exciting at the end when one of Danny's favorite players (Longoria) hit a home run to try and get the Rays back in it.

Baseball starts for all 3 kids this week with tryouts. Danny and Devin had to do theirs during the week at night, in frigid conditions! Derek's is today, and it's finally warming up.
